Wendy Webster is a contemporary visual artist who employs a diverse range of techniques and mediums to create an eclectic range of works.  By challenging herself to continually employ new methods and styles she continues to grow her skills whilst ensuring that her work is fresh, exciting and compelling for viewers.

Her work features a diverse array of subjects from whimsical colourful pieces to more brutalist industrial works.   As participant and spectator her works sometimes reflect an appreciation and fascination with our industrialised heritage and awareness of our cultural impact on our surroundings.  Her depiction of more realistic views of the world stretches our understanding of the concept of ‘aesthetic beauty’ in art and challenges viewers to also reconsider what they consider beautiful art.

Although considering herself ‘self-taught’ the explorative diversity of Wendy’s work has been expanded and improved by formal studies at RMIT and excellent tutorage from select professional artists.

Wendy exhibits in urban and   rural art shows and has won numerous awards.  In recent years her paintings have been complimented by judges who have described her ‘…use of different media and different texture is brilliant’, her works as ‘complex’ and ‘quirky’ with ‘…good design sense’ and her style ‘ambitious, ‘intriguing’ and ‘suggestive of Jackson Pollack’.
